Censuses were taken in England every year from 1801 and then every 10 years, except during the two great wars. Unfortunately the records from 1801 - 1831 censuses were not saved for posterity. The records for the 1841 - 1911 censuses have been released by the National Archives 100 year after they were taken.

I have transcribed from the censuses available for the name of ISARD  I also intend doing this to other variants of the name but this is an ongoing task.

The search is done via the Guild of One Name Studies website and I acknowledge their thanks for allowing me to use the site. If you wish to return to this page after searching the censuses you will need to push the back button on your browser.
